Laïd Estelle Laurent is a partner in charge of the corporate restructuring practice at Jeantet.
Her main focus is to advise clients on the technical and operational implementation of restructuring operations with a corporate and M&A approach. She works with groups of companies or SMEs in difficulty as well as with creditors to protect their rights, within an amicable framework known as “prevention of difficulties”, including assistance with negotiations and renegotiation of commercial, financial or bank debt, as well as within a procedural scope of Safeguard, Judicial Reorganization or Judicial Liquidation, and more generally with restructuring strategies.
She also assists potential purchasers, industrialists, shareholders or funds involved in takeovers of companies in difficulty, or carve-outs.
She advises companies and groups of companies facing crisis situations, preventive/amicable or insolvency proceedings under French or European law, and works on cross-border or international transactions on issues such as site closures in France (carve-outs), risks of extension of proceedings, merger of assets and liabilities or liability claims against the group’ s parent company.
Prior to joining Jeantet, she was a partner at Fidal and its niche firm BloWin specialized in restructuring, which was formed in 2014 with Bertrand Biette, whom she met at Bird&Bird in 2008.
