As the contraction of activity caused by the health containment measures has deteriorated the balance sheet and financial performance of many companies, their access to traditional corporate financing is all the more difficult since some of them, already in debt before the pandemic, have resorted to state-guaranteed loans (PGE) to meet their immediate liquidity needs, which will also weigh negatively on their income statement in view of the expected recovery curve.
