Jeantet assists Canadian leading energy company Enbridge in the development and financing of a 500mw offshore windfarm off Fécamp
Paris, June 5, 2020 – Jeantet AARPI assisted Canadian energy producer Enbridge on the development and financing of an offshore wind farm located off the coast of Fécamp (Normandy).
This wind farm composed of 71 wind turbines with a total capacity of 500 megawatts (MW) will be operated by Eolien Maritime France, a consortium comprising Enbridge and EDF Renouvelables, a subsidiary of the EDF group, associated with European renewable energy company wpd. Following the construction of the Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm which stared in 2019, this farm will be the second of the three projects totalizing 1,400 MW of installed capacity.
Enbridge Inc. is a North American leading energy infrastructure company listed on the Toronto and New York stock exchanges. The corporation has a portfolio investment of 1.8 GW of net renewable power generation capacity in operation in Canada, the United-States and Europe.
The total investment cost of the project shall reach 2 Bn euros and has been financed by the European Investment Bank and a banking pool composed of BNP Paribas, Société Générale and Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, underwriters. The financing of this project is the most important completed during the health state of emergency.
